I plan on mounting my led cubes under my bumper an would like to have them wired so they come on when in reverse , off completely , and on when needed . I have the gist of how it needs to be done , but can't find the relay or toggle switch needed to do so .
This is on my 04 yukon by the way .
Any help is appreciated !

You need a typical 12v 'normally-open' relay and a double throw switch (on/off/on).

The wiring get a little complicated but i had this done on a toyota years back.

I had my switch in the bed of that truck for reference.

- 12v fused from battery to switch.
- 12v from one side of switch to relay behind taillight.
- ground the relay
- tap into factory reverse light circuit
- relay output to led cubes
- 12v from other side of switch back towards relay, but connected to feed going to cubes. You need a diode on this wire to block voltage backfeeding up to switch.

Depending on where you mount your switch and relay determines how much wire you have to run

This allows 3 functions.
1. Stock
2. Cubes on in reverse
3. Cubes on when switch is on

There are a few posts about this. Check in the exterior page. I found this for you that is a complete walk through (although it's not a Tahoe) it should in theory be the same wiring.
