Hello everyone just want to say thx for the help from all the threads that helped with questions I always need answers for. I'm new to signing up but not new to the family. I have a question that I can't find anyone else that had the and issue. I have a 07 yukon denali xl. I want to upgrade the factory flip down with an aftermarket one but I want to keep the factory navi. I still want to control the DVD function from up front. Kids are all still young. Don't want them touching anything but headphones. I was told 2 different answers. 1 shop said it can't be done. Only with fords can you tap I to a factory harness. Another shop said it can be done if the experienced tech does it. I told myself who would really know. And all of you popped up in my mind and I surprised not to see the same question from anyone else. So if someone can help me please don't hesitate. Also any good brand suggestions. I was thing about the 22" T-View I see mixed reviews about them anyone with some experience. Thx in advanced.

:signs75:

Just need the pin outs and then you'll tap in to 2 wires (the signal wires)

if you give "08grey" your email address, he can send you an email with a diagram of which two wires you need to connect in to that will make it work.

If you're not at all familiar with how to do it, take that print out with the info he gives you to a shop and it should be easy for them to do it

Here you go. Basically is you want to get a raw RCA male terminal from radio shack. Connect DVD video out + to the center pin and - to the outer pin. Solder your connections. Then use the power and ground wires to power it up and your good to go.

Btw I don't have a way to pull these diagrams. Another member on here hooked me up.

Any input about particular brands to choose from or to stay away from? I see on eBay there is a t-view that has some good prices. Are they a reputable brand?

When you go big screen it'***** or miss. Allot of companies just list bs in their description. What size do you want. Keep in mind the bigger you go the closer to your head in the front seat it will be.

Ok we'll my wife and I came up with our final build for her DD. We would like to go with 4 10"+ headrest monitors w/DVD each one. 2 19"+ flip down monitors. The ps4 and Xbox one will go to the flip downs and So we can have a options for the kids. It's like a court trial when 5 kids tring to decide on one movie or game. (Dead lock every time) lol must admit that's funny. Also loosing the rear view sight is ok with my wife. Does anyone think this is over kill? Especially factoring in 5 little ones. Any good recommendations with this kind of set up? Any and all input is appreciated thx guys.

RIP
03 Denali (will be missed)

I forgot budget
Flip down monitors no more than 300 each
Head rest monitors no more than 350 for pair
I have a budget around 1500
I will be doing the install myself. (Advid DIYer)

You will need a large ac/dc converter. I use a 600 watt I believe for the ps3 and I have it installed in the second row captains chair hidden. The new gaming systems use allot of power and video quality is effected when you strain them.

They also get very hot so if you plan in hiding them be prepared for a fan setup. I have two small jet engine sounding fans 3000 rpm pushing and exhausting air from the console.

I definitely think it's over kill. Two much going on at once hard to concentrate or appreciate what is on any specific monitor. I once thought like you and I understand what your thinking but a truck sitting still with all those tv's and a truck moving down the road is two different stories. You will be surprised how fast your kids get bored or just not interested.

I put headrests in the bCk for my son in the third row 8 years old to play ps3. He told me he did not like the viewing angle for gaming so I just put in a flip down for him. Can you imagine? These kids now days have no idea.

The gaming issue I have is we don't really go anywhere long enough for my kids to save game data. They will always be way ahead of what they are playing on the home console.

The only real games that get played in the truck are sports and like street fighter, games that don't require saving data.
