I traded my old sirius setup to my brother for his ipod mini (6gb) and I can only fit about 400 songs on it. I'm using itunes to upload everything onto the ipod, but from what I have read it should hold about 1500 songs.

Is there a different program to upload that will do it right, or am I doing something wrong? I just hooked the ipod up and let it sync with my itunes and cleared off the playlists that were on it.

Thanks in advance

Itunes and Apples deffinition of a song is 3 min each.. Do you have pictures on it? that requires space.. but back to the 3 min shit.. Im sure almost every song you have is over 3 min long, so there for it takes up more space. its not you or your computer or you ipod, thats all she can fit

Well no pics, but there are some long songs on it, but thats ********. They can't advertise like that, how the hell makes songs 3 minutes long anyways.

I guess I'll just have to deal.

Thanks guys, I guess I need about a 20 gb or bigger LOL

Ok this is weird, on my itunes it says alone the bottom of my Ipods selection:

400 songs, 1:01:37:15 total time, 1.89GB

WTF that doesn't make any sense, the ipod when completely cleared off says that it has 5.6GB available.

Sorry I'm new to the whole MP3 player thing, so I just trying to figure everything out :)

Ok now I looked and it said that it had 3.46gb of "other" on my ipod so I reset it and am now uploading 700 some songs that are in my itunes right now. And I still have room so I'm off to download more :D

Try to make another playlist, and see if that will sync also. It might only be syncing one or 2 playlists..see if you need to check another box or 2. I think 150+ songs per gig. I have a 60 gig with over 10000 songs and 250 music vids ..

Damn a 160 gb, man I thought mine was big at 120 gb. I have around 4,000 songs, like 15 full length movies, a couple hundred pics, and I still have like 100 gb left. My old 4 gb pod was full after like 450 songs and nothing else. Shit sucked so I sold it and bought a 6th generation 120 gb last fall.

Mine is hardwired to my deck. Controls songs through the touchscreen, plays my vids. Got the cable running to my glove box and it gets charged while I drive. SWEET!
