Is there something that goes around the front tow hooks?

i looked on gmpartsdirect and didn’t see anything that went on the bumper to go around the tow hooks but it sure looks like something does? Is it just for the blank pieces if you don’t have tow hooks?

Not quite sure of your particular bumper; gmpartsdirect shows two bumpers for a 2010 Tahoe. Here is one, see part #17.

They show another style bumper that has a different tow bracket cover, #18. Take another look.

It does not look like the other bumper. That #17 looks like it fills the entire hole.

My Tahoe started life as a border patrol ssv with a cut bumper and Baja style skid plate so it could just be that my current bumper shouldn’t have tow hooks.

If you search one of the two #17 part numbers online and see the actual pics they're not solid coverage. They seem to have slots in the center so the hooks can stick out. Yours don't look like they stick out past the bumper, though.

Oh interesting, in the drawings I just assumed it was a full cover like the fog light covers. Mine stick out thru the hole but not outside of the bumper cover. They appear to be the factory hooks.

Yeah I have those around my hooks. They are basically keepers to help keep any tow strap secure and falling off the hook.

I just want it to look more finished since you can see the tabs on the bumper. Also my hooks are closed loop.
