Quite a few of us have complained about the radio cutting out a couple times for a few seconds on start up.
Last month I had my '22 SLT in the dealership to have the mid seat rattle TSB taken care of and was told that GM was working on a fix for the radio.
Has anybody else heard about a fix for the radio?

We have been noticing this issue for at least 6 months now, the software on this truck is terrible, it was rushed from the beginning, the software on the rear entertainment is even worse. They crippled this car when they moved to Google Automotive OS.

There's still no fix. Service advisor told me yesterday that GM Engineering is still trying to come up with a solution.

Please report after you do. I’m hoping it also resolves the issue w/ Automatic HVAC blower speed

EDIT: I am an the dealer now, they are applying the update...will report what I find.
Ok, have only drivien it twice since the update, and it may be a while before I get some consistent drives in.

-Audio dropout seems to be gone.
-Wireless CarPlay not always syncing sitll there -- workaround is disconnect and reconnect via the infotainment unit (been doing this for a while now)
-Had audo not return after ending a CarPlay phone call..not sure if this was a fluke because I had previously been listening to Apple Music via CarPlay and went to XM. Need more time to see if this is a consistent bug or not.
Not sure about the HVAC blower slowdown after startup because vehicle was already warmed up and cabin at appropriate temp when I got in.

But, doesn't seem worse....

I still think there are bugs lurking in the Iinfotainment system...guessing there will be another update or two :D

Any updates from anyone who had this update done at the dealer? I have the audio cutting out at startup issue. When I'm due for my free first service, I was going to take in a print-out of that TSB and try to get them to do the update for me.

Just had the Y171 update installed today (asked for it at the same time I was getting my complimentary first service completed). Will be nice to have that audio dropout issue resolved, since it sounds like this update worked for everyone else.

FWIW, I now have an audio cutout more like 1-2 min after a drive starts, vs. immediately.
But, my CarPlay connection and the blower thing remain resolved...so it feels better than it was....

Early returns not good for me. Audio dropouts still seem to be present even after receiving the update. Mine still seem to be pretty much immediately after startup.

That's a bummer. I checked mine this morning, and I was able to change stations and volume from the steering wheel after startup. But audio still cutting out within the first minute or two after startup.

Hey perhaps I'm too late to this thread, but my 2023 Yukon Denali does this too (Radio cut-out). A while back at the Dealer, they did the Radio Serial update, however it still happens. Radio cuts out within the first 1-2 minutes, then appears fine for the rest of the day. I've had the radio on FM and/or Sirius -- same result.
On my Info screen, I'm unsure how to see the current version I'm on:
About:
Model & Hardware: gminfo37
Android Version: Android 12
Android SEcurity Patch Level: February 5, 2024 (Dealer visit for update was way later than that)

Previous Updates 85747470.mnf SIHM22B-00306.02
Importantant Update: N23-2411560

Check for Updates, found nothing.
What's next, or what can I do?

I’m not aware of anything else that you can do, other than keep getting the software updates at the dealership whenever they are available, and hope for the best. I believe Y172 is the latest, but I could be wrong on that.
