I recently did my front pads/rotors a few weeks ago and decided to take a gamble on these new pads from napa, called 'Adaptive One'. They're a ceramic based pad. I replaced my pads with those and bought brand new OEM rotors (yes, i know, i should've gotten some power slots...) to go with them. Well after a few weeks I can say that these pads are pretty damn good. Great holding power, excellent modulation, and I've had little to no fade, even after an emergency 95-0 stop, and best of all; NO WARPED ROTORS! (which is extremely common with OEM rotors). And best of all, they're only $75. So I just though I'd throw that out there for anyone doing a budget brake job.

That sounds like a good deal, but quick question. Why were you going 95 in the first place? haha.

Cuz in rush hour traffic, if you're not keeping up then the rest will run you off the road. That's Chicago for ya!

I've seen the Adaptive 1 pads, the inner pad is different from the outer to try and keep the braking as best as possible. Glad they work well for you.

ceramics are not a bad choice for our rigs, they work best heated up....lots of weight in there and brakes get hot fast.

may have to give the a shot, must have glazed my pads pulling the boat home half full of water (been sitting a long time, had no idea that much water was in it... :( ) they are back to being terrible, no where close to being able to lock them up anymore.

Hydroboost moved closer to the top of the list :)
