Hey everybody. I have a 2000 Tahoe and I'm tired of my stock wheels. I've been looking into getting some used wheels but skeptical about buying used and finding out they're bent or warped. Is there any way I can test for this or should I just save up and buy new? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Buy new dont buy others problems. Thats what my dad always says. But sometimes like in my case we have no $$$ to spend on new.

Just buy used and make sure you get a deal that is good enough for you to buy a fifth wheel if you need to. Then, in a worst case scenario, you can have a spare.

Yeah, right now I don't have alot to spend on wheels plus I'd have to get tires also. I would love to buy new but then I'd have to wait and waiting sucks.

Originally, I just wanted opinions on if I should gamble and buy used or just buy new which has nothing to do with what my truck looks like but I guess opinions on wheel choices would be good too. I like the U2 55s and the KMC surge, chrome preferably- not sure if black would look good on my truck. I'm not planning on lifting or lowering it so tire size suggestions would be great too. Looking for 20's with tires to fill the wheel wells. I want tog go as wide as I can without rubbing and I guess that depends on wheel offset so there are a lot of variables. Any suggestions or opinions are appreciated, thanks guys. Btw, here's a pic of my POS, ha.:poop:

Nice looking rig and I'm with you on the chrome rims :Handshake: I'm a fan of scoring a good deal on gently used rims if you can. You can save quite a bit of money that way but sometimes it's hard to find what you want that way too

Thanks Jacob:High 5:. I'm kinda picky but I'm also a sucker for impulse buys. As long as they look good I'll probably buy the first ones I like.

If your leaving it stock height, for 20's the tire size would be 275/55 thats the original tire size GM uses on their 20's.

Thanks Frank. I want as much rubber on the road I can get so would it hurt to go 285/55 or 285/50? I know 285's are only 1 cm wider but dammit 285 is what I'm stuck on, lol.

Had a buddy that ran 305s on his hoe, but I know there was some trimming involved and not quite sure what offset he was running. And I'm with you the more rubber that I can have on the road the better.
