Hey guys, I plan on doing a 4/6 drop in the near future. However, right now I need to replace the shocks front and back on my 08 Tahoe. should I leave the stock springs in or would it be a waste of money to upgrade the spring with the shocks right now?

How do you plan to drop it that 4/6?

If it were me, I'd do the whole job and lower it while replacing the shocks. You're gonna need shorter shocks for a 6" rear drop, even with extenders, so that's new shocks right there. The front can be lowered 4" in various ways while retaining the stock struts, so that's really about your only predicament. My thoughts are: If you need shocks and wanna lower it, get lowering struts so you knock it all out in one shot. No double-working yourself.
