I just did this to mine and I am almost complete, I found the 05+ Efans at a local junkyard for 155.00 that was the easy part, next I need to get a harness and a tune, I have read you can pick up the harness from several vendors and they also offer the tune as well. Getting my fan off was tricky mines a 04 I used a pipe wrench and hammer and pb blaster gave it a few good smacks and it broke loose, I am currently running no fan due to the cold weather truck has not heated up over 210 even sitting at stop lights and drive threw BUT I dont suggest copying me.

Here's what I did. I had a tune already by BlackBear, so the E-fans function on the PCM was enabled. I ordered this fan:

http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-620-65...qid=1358025183&sr=8-1&keywords=Dorman+620-654

and this jumper harness from blackbear (first pic):

Then you just follow the instructions on this thread:

I had some trouble, but you can post on here and people will help. all in all the most difficult part was getting the old fan off. i had to rent a tool from autozone. its a nice performance improvement and much better cooling!

what he said. Don't pay more for junkyard pull outs when you can get new for $140. I did the same thing. Only difference is I used the wiring harness from Nelson Performance. Much cleaner wire loom and works great. I have my relays mounted to my pcm cover so the harness is the right length.

the engine doesn't have to work more trying to rotate that heavy fan, so you get a bit of HP and MPG, but also (i would think) a bit longer engine life because it's not working as hard. you also get quite a bit more room in the engine bay, so its easier to work on.

yes, Dorman 620-654, but make sure you have the larger radiator: 56 x 21 x 10.5 inches, according to amazon, is the fan size, so you should make sure your radiator is 56 x 21 inches
