Currently have all stock navi and interested in providing passengers ability to play movies in the tahoe but through a flash drive or storage unit connected to usb in center console. Is this possible? If not, what are my options? I was looking at using the composite somehow by getting a cable that converts to micro usb and saving all movies onto a phone or maybe even running netflix/Xfinity through phone and let it view on screen. Prefer USB but open to either or. What would need to be done? Will they look full screen from that source?

I'm sure if I changed out the outdated Navi, I would have a much easier time but looking for options before going that route.

You're wanting them to play up front? You'll need to get something like the NavTool.

Thanks for quick response. I would be ok if they only played in rear. This is entertainment for the rear passengers mainly. I will look up this NavTool that you speak of.

Also, is there any option to have driving safety features for navi eliminated like inability to add address while driving?

Last question, what is easiest way to update navi? I seen new dvd's for like 175 :(. At that price, might as well go in on an aftermarket touch screen with navi.

So if you have the rear screen you should have RCA inputs on the back of your center console.

Remove the safety features would be something like Navtool

That's correct on the Nav update...

Im going to test a camcorder micro usb that goes from composite to phone. You think it will play throughout the entire car even though connected in rear? I tried to get AUX to work from rear connection and was giving issues. Just need more time to play around...
