How many think the GMT 900 series is the best TAHOE/YUKON yet?

The new style caught my eye immediately and I decided right there ,that will be my next vehicle. I had been driving an '07 Tahoe (company vehicle) and had a 15 month test drive before getting my own. I waited patiently but could wait no longer and got my "08 Yukon XL in Sept '08. I have some minor complaints but overall love the vehicle and can't help adding mods to it:rocking: Loaded it up recently with numerous ,heavy, bags of mulch and didn't notice any difference in pick-up,sway etc... considering the weight.

I love the nnbs tahoes, wish I could jack the suspension into my gmt800. The gmt900 tahoe is the best looking, not sure why but I don't really like the new yukons.

I love my Yukon but at times miss my GMT800 Tahoe. IMHO i think the seats in my 800 were more comfy than the ones in the 07.

I find that too. More cushion. Im glad that my silverado has the same seats as my 06 yukon had.

Loved my 2000 NBS to death,185,00 miles worth! Then came along the 07. Don't think it can get any better! My pedals can be moved in drive too. My buddy likes to do it while I'm driviing. Very annoying. The only thing I would like better is the new tranny.

I definitely prefer my 900 over my two older 800 trucks.
at lest the brakes actually work on the 900 series That can't be said for the 800 series (btw I had driven many 800 series even owned one) the BRAKES sucked

when the engine/tras FAILS on this i'm going to install a new 4.8L V8 L20 (has to be vvt to meet it's emissions requirements)FlexFuel+6speed

it will still get 22 on the highway

i all ready knew i was going to buy one back in 2006
Funny you say that. These things started going on sale in January of 2006 and I was sweet on the Yukon XL 2500 but wanted to wait for the 2008s to get the 6-speed transmission and higher tow ratings. So we bought my wife's car first and then came upon hard times and the want for the Yukon XL had to wait.

I don't think it gets any better than this generation, and the way things are going it might be the last of the breed.
The original post being over ten years old, is this still the general consensus among some end users? I ask because the wife doesn't want anything in 2015-2020 range, she'd prefer a factory new GMT900 or as close to new as possible. Now we haven't even looked at the 2021s so I can't say on that end. But I must admit, the GMT900 just seems more offroad capable and the less bells and whistles, the better, in our minds.
