We have done a mileage thread and i think we should do an hours thread....
To figure urs out make sure the truck is off... just press and hold the trip odometer reset button for 4 seconds and it will display ur hours for up to 30 seconds.....

Did mine before i headed home from work and wow 6006.5 hours.... :Whoa:

WIll it work in an 02? I have taken many a nap with the truck running when the baby was first born and I was switched to the midnight shift. When the boy fell asleep, i would too!

Its not accurate.. Its common for the hours timer to even reset itself. Its also a TSB on this as well. Any spike or surge in voltage can reset the timer out of the blue. No problems with the odometer, just the timer.

Ill check mine again, to make sure its not like 500 or something.

When I bought my 05 it had 81,000 miles and 76 hours. That is an average of 1,000 mph. Not bad. It got a couple hundred hours on it and then reset again. It's back up to about 400 hrs now with 110,000 miles.

My '06 Tahoe has around 8500 hours on it. It was a former K9 unit so it had at least 8 hours of run time a day until I bought it.
