How is the 6.0?

I have a 2003 Yukon SLT 4X4 with 195,000 and new tires and borrowed a buddy's 2004 Yukon XL Denali with 215,000 for the weekend for the space. He offered to trade even up. Only thing is it needs tires and the back glass doesn't open.
What do you think of the 6.0 and awd? It would've been better in this snow if it had better tires.
Any recommendations on a tire for 275/55/20?

It should be a beast in the snow, if you experienced otherwise, there must be issues.

Problem w/ the AWD is the front differentials eventually destroy themselves and are not cheap to rebuild. The Denali will also have the auto ride system, which is failure prone and expensive to replace. Anyway I look at it, you are trading away the cheaper to own/maintain vehicle. If your vehicle is in top shape I would stick with it, otherwise get a PPI so you know what you are getting into.

I have a friend with a 200K miles NBS Denali, he went into a dealer to trade it up for a NNBS Denali, the most they offered him in trade was $2000. He decided to keep it but still bought the new vehicle...

I Agree with Z0lt3c. I was offered a similar trade. Straight up for my SLT. I declined due to the expensive repairs If it needed to be repaired. If your yukon is running right, keep it.

I agree also bowtie as i have the same vehicle with a bit more mileage. Also not a huge fan of the xl's they are a little big for my taste or awd. You can always swap in the 6.0 if you really want that motor, ive been reading up on that here.
