Hey guys. I've searched the forum for this issue & not coming up with anything.
I have an 04' Tahoe with the factory bose system. ive got a high pitched noise coming from the door speakers. Its even worse when im accelerating. Pulled the console out, checked for a loose wire in the harness and nothing. Pulled the door speaker and there fine. Alternator is registering 12.5-13v. This noise is absolutely driving me nuts. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks

Do you have anything audio that is aftermarket or ran any power cables that might be interfering with the bose audio system

when i bought my Tahoe had a similar problem that I discovered almost everytime i shut the lid on the center console, in fact I could duplicate it by smacking the lid real hard with my fist and then all it took was another smack and the noise went away. Typical alternator whine probly due to a loose ground. As long as I didnt slam the lid down too hard, no problems. Not sure what it was but it is gone now that I put in an aftermarket radio with the gmos-014 adapter. I was thinking it had something to do with the RSE panel at the back of the console since the backlights would randomly come on and off with a smack too. Since it is bypassed now, no problems. I would start there.

Has the noise always been there since you've owned the truck or did it start up recently?

both tahoes i have had have done this. the first one it was some bad wires in the steerig column from using the steering wheel tilt to much/ to rough. Mine just started doing this and i noticed when i flash my lights it cuts it off. So i am not sure if its the same problem or not yet

edit;
but it is controlled by the radio. if i turn the radio off it wont make the noise

I just had this happen to me last week, just started out of nowhere. I have Bose with a aftermarket HU. I just pulled the deck And made sure everything was securely connected and when I hooked it back up it was gone. So my best guess, like posted above is a loose connection (ground)

I pulled the HU out and checked for a loose wire/ground and nothing. Still the same noise. Im thinking it might be a bad channel in the amp!

I had this problem about a month ago but I have aftermarket HU and all doors are aftermarket wired to an aftermarket amp. Solved my issue by getting some ground loop isolators and plugging them into my RCA's coming from the HU to the amp.
