HID and LED on non HID suvs

When you put HID or LED's in what do you do with the DRL's? Do they still come on like it does from the factory and just dimmer? Or do you turn the knob to the left and turn them off. Thanks for any info!

I installed HID's on our SLT. The DRL system is the LED surrounding strips around the headlight itself, no bulbs are lit. I keep the knob on AUTO, so when the intellibeam system senses no headlights are needed, the LED surrounding strips are on. Then when low beams are required, the HID's come on, and the LED strips dim slightly. Same operation as an OEM setup. Hope this helps.
