I’m looking to buy some D3S HID or LED bulbs to replace the GM factory HID bulbs and match the DRL’s. So far I have tried some 6000K’s that were way to blue and now have 5000K HID’s that look yellow and almost have a green tint to them from inside the truck. Has anybody found a set that will match the DRL’s? I’m running VLED bulbs in the fog lights and those match perfect, however they do not make a bulb that’s plug/play for factory HID’s, it requires by passing the ballast and I’m not looking to do that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

OSRAM D3S CBI Bulbs. I would also highly consider the OSRAM D3S CBB Bulbs.

I went with Diode Dynamic replacement HID bulbs. So far I am very pleased. The stock HID bulbs had degraded over time until the RH one burnt out.

Thanks, how much did you pay for the set?

Do you have any pics of your HID's? Which K did you go with?

@DwDrummer They're not cheap, listed at $235/pair on theretrofitsource.com and headlightrevolution.com. Both those sites run numerous holiday sales throughout the year; presidents day, memorial day, labor day, independence day, etc. Usually at least 15% off, so I picked them up around one of those times when they were running a sale. But still about $200.

The Phillips XV2 are my next purchase, I rather have the highest LUX output at 1680

There will always be a pretty significant difference in price and quality for “OEM” HID bulbs from manufactures like OSRAM and Phillips compared to aftermarket options from Morimoto, etc.

6k. I don't have a picture.

I since replaced them, but I also replaced the stock HID bulb with the 6k from Diode Dynamics. I don’t have a picture, but the light was just a tinge whiter than the DRL LED’s. It’s like it needs a 5500-5750 color temp to match perfectly.

These are what I put on my Suburban
I know it doesn’t look like it but they match my drl’s perfectly and don’t run as hot as my last set and definitely lasted longer then my top of line Sylvania’s I tried out.
