Out of the blue, My dome lights won't turn off
No matter what I do. I know none of the 4 front doors are "bad" or misreading as
the power running boards go in and out correctly for all 4 doors independently
I can't even use the dome over ride switch... Or even if I start driving.....
Dome lights stay on
Help !!!!
I've pulled the #5 courtesy light fuse inside the cabin, but I don't know what else I'll lose
with that circuit dead....
And of course I don't want a dead battery

I wonder if that switch assembly is faulty. Know anyone with a similar vehicle that'll let you try their switch as a test?

No I don't... I figured if the override switch was "bad" it would stick in the OFF or override positon... just because there is no "always on" position....

I didn't mean the button specifically. I was thinking the assembly as a whole, like a fault in the PCB. You kinda ruled out the door switches (the ones built into the latches) so I was thinking something else in the chain specific to the lights. Kinda like how a defective multifunction switch can keep high beams or turn signals from working.
