So I've seen a few posts here and on the "other site", but have yet to get a clear idea on whether or not there is a crossover utilized for the front tweeter and front door speaker for a non-bose system in a 2008 Tahoe.

I'm going to be installing a set of Alpine components and I'm looking for some direction on the easiest way to wire them.

Anyone know where the stock tweeters connect? Do they go to a crossover prior to going to the head unit? Or do they go to the front 6.5 door speaker and then to the head unit from there?

Anyone out here have an idea on this?

Grant, not sure, but yes, there 'should' be a crossover, whether externally or built into the components from the factory. A tweeter, to properly work needs a crossover network to let it play it's frequency range, and same goes for mid.
If you get an Alpine set, it will come with a seperate crossover network.
I'd run the OEM wire to the crossover, then run new wire from crossover to mid/ and tweeter. And bypass factory in between mid/tweeter.
