Well I'm dropping the tank tomorrow. I've got a pump so fingers crossed my issue gets fixed and I don't have to throw several pumps at it.

brb with results

Also these heater hose connections can suck my butt

Replaced them while the babies were asleep....black one was leaking like a mofo.

I can't believe you got them off in 1 piece!

It was no easy task haha

So dropped the tank and swapped the pump in about 2 hours...turns out my fuel gauge wasn't working because the old pump had this missing...obviously broke off some how.

I'm at a loss....I cleared my cel, I'm sure it'll come back on tomorrow, I'll scan and see if I get a new code.

Is it holding pressure with the engine off key on? I assume u replaced the fuel filter as well?

The question now is it dropping pressure when driving?

Fuel filter was the very first thing I did before anything else.

It holds at 42 psi. Do you mean does it hold after I turn the truck on then off?

When I first turned the key on (engine off) the PSI went to 50 then slowly dropped to 42.

I think I’m gonna replace the FPR just for ***** and giggles.

Would a clogged fuel injector cause this problem? Would it be intermittent? I’ve ran some fuel cleaning through the tank. Is there any specific brand you guys recommend?

Those little bottles at Walmart in the Super Tech brand work for me.

Knock sensor code. I need to get a longer hose for the fuel pressure gage so I can see it while Driving. The one I have is just a tad to short to get it under the wiper.

Also this seems awfully loose and the bolt is as tight as it gets.
mine always wiggled on my 00, never seemed to be any issue

all this makes me wonder if you have a bad egr valve?, it's been a long time but it seems like a familiar problem with the egr, I could be wrong but just throwing it out there.

I forgot about EGR. I deleted that on mine.

Doesn't look like he has an egr..GM stopped putting them on the trucks in 03 i believe. Mine was right behind my TB, but I deleted it too.
