Hey guys wussup ?

I am planning to buy a used Yukon XL 2500, the model may be 2007 or 2008
And I am planning to do a lot of mod's and custom things.

My first big question : I wanna run 38" M/T 15.50 wide tires on 20X12 or 22X12 with 40" tires. I prefer Kelderman lift kit but It is only available for HD trucks.

I need a front solid axle ? Dana 60 is good then what to do ? Please I dont prefer fender trimming !

Thanks

If you "have" to have a solid front axle then your choices are very limited and will require custom work and fabricating. Now if you want to stick with IFS I would look into Cognito, FTS, BulletProof...all make BIG lifts.

Cognito and FTS make kits for those trucks, I love all the cognito kits we've done.

If you go that big, I think trimming would be the least of your worries with SAS.

I saw kelderman 10-12" for gmc 2500hd and require drop front axle.
So if I did that thing, can I use the kelderman kit ?

cognito has 10-12" but I dont believe the IFS will hold the larger tires !

Who does custom lifts ?

Anything involving a SAS for a 'burb will require custom work, you need to search your area for a custom shop that can comfortably do the work. I think you really need to do alot more research than to just think your going to put 38's-40's on it.

I don't think it is hard to do it !
Kelderman has 10-12" for Sierra 2500HD requires drop front axle.
So maybe if I bought this kit and tried to install it into the Yukon XL 2500HD

However does Yukon XL 2500HD shares the same frame with Sierra 2500HD ?
and the same IFS ?

Thanks

SW CT,
there is no such thing as a "HD" suburban, just a 2500 and it does not share the same frame as the Pickup HD's.

it is not clear that Yukon xl 2500 frame doesnt share the same with 2500HD
and doesn't share with 1500 !

Are you just going for size? Are you going to be wheelin' this thing? It all depends on what you want to do. The '07+ trucks have square wheel wells which means you will never be able to stuff that big of a tire.

There are companies that make the Front axle swap kit...

I have been toying with throwing the axles from my totaled Dodge 2500 under my '07 so that I know my axles can handle what I want to throw at it.

It seems like doing a SA conversion on the front would be pretty easy.

Otherwise, like it has been mentioned, check out Bulletproof, or Cognito.
