I installed my 12k HIDs 9005s and 9006s. 9006s are the low beams and they are still not bright enough through my projectors.. Can I just put 9005s in my low beam slots in there instead of upgrading to 55w 12k 9006s?

These are old style projectors.Probabally the first to come out for OBS. I've just dealt with not seeing for about 7 years and I'm tired of it lol. I dont want to replace the projectors because I love the look and am more them willing to sacrifice sight for looks but is there a happy medium?

My high beams are not in projector lenses and the HID 9005s are as bright as the sun! If I could just get that bright without melting stuff on my low beam HIDs.

Check to make sure, if you sometimes change headlights to projectors, they have a totally different bulb.

12K HID's are absolutely worthless. More K's is not better, not sure why people go for the highest K and expect them to be bright.

You would be better off between 4,300-6,000, as 12k gives off almost no usable light...only ricers get bulbs at that kelvin spectrum.

Your headlights probably aren't helping either, but under no circumstances should you buy 12k bulbs.

I am pretty sure you can put any HID's you want as long as you make sure the bulbs dont touch anything, different kelvin and bulb types are different sizes. Hook up isnt as easy as the bulb plug thing but very manageable. But then again i could be wrong...just my .02, GL
