i want a loud exhaust but i want it to sound good to

If you want it loud but still sound good go with either a Flowmaster 40 (or even a 10 if legal in your area) or a smaller Magnaflow. But straight pipes or glasspacks don't sound good IMO...

Or run an exhaust so that you are not the idiot with the super loud exhaust that sounds like shit.

Spend the money on a decent exhaust, get headers, get good mufflers and run the pipes out the back and hide them as best possible. I run 49 state legal set up and it's pretty loud

JBA shorties, Magnaflow Y pipe and cats, Borla cat back, PCM4LESS dyno tune, K&N FIPK....Oh yeah a little 383 under the hood.

This thread fails

No mufflers, and no cat's is the worst "performance" upgrade you can do. Get yourself high flow cat's, and higher end mufflers (borla for example) if you want loud

Straight pipes are only cool if you have a mullet or live in a trailer

I usually suggest flowmasters or magnaflows due to them being a good muffler and fairly cheap in price but Borla is definitely a good muffler just a little more expensive.

glasspacks and straight pipes sound way to raspy , like everyone else said here buy a full exhaust headers, high flow cats , and a magnaflow or flowmasters exauhst if that is not loud enough take the resignators out

i have glass packs on my hoe because thats what came with the pipes I bought.... i like em, but want to change em out to something more unique

What I loved most was on my dads 76 GMC Sprint

thats his car, its in the process of being restored, and in it came a nice 350... looked up the numbers and it came from a 'vette...
in the background is my old 85 K5 (Yes it came with a spoiler and those are air horns in front )

He found some mufflers that came off one of these babies

wish I had gotten a vid clip of them, but if I could reference it to anything, it was like putting your rumbly exhaust pipes underwater... you could hear every piston fire...

between me and my dad, we love our exhaust loud... but we do come from a background in WI and the UP...

my dads gonna put replica badges on it to show its uniqueness, the only ones on it are next to the doors

there have been numerous people throwing him outrageous offers because all you see are el caminos...
