The General didn’t hold back; they’re going to spank the Navigator.

The leaked photos of the new Escalade look pretty good too. Just got the below email today. That’s a HUGE display, and OLED. The General didn’t hold back; they’re going to spank the Navigator.

Not sure what makes you think they’re gojng to spank the navigator but I certainly hope they do. Ford clearly caught GM by surprise and I have to believe that’s why the roll out was so delayed. Real competition is good.
Real competition is good and I’m glad Ford has a decent product to up the game for all. Realistically, GM is already spanking Ford in Escalade vs new Navigator sales. Yes Navigator sales went up from embarrassingly low numbers to still only half of Escalade sales. And the sales number comparison is even worse than it looks for Lincoln when you consider GM has a middle tier luxury line in Denali that pulls sales away (cannibalizes) some Escalade sales.
So, because the General is already blowing away the new Navigator, their new Escalade that they worked extra ******* improving will most likely “spank” Navigator even more than they are already doing today with a model that was released in 2014 (as a 2015).

Oh you mean sell more. Sure. That’s probably true. Is it a better product? Remains to be seen. Camrys ‘spank’ lots of cars too from a sales standpoint.
Sure, money talks. Every business measures success with revenue/sales. Yes they’ll include other metrics as well, but sales is the bottom line after all.

Sales doesn’t necessarily equate to a better product though. That’s my point.
Britney Spears isnt a better ‘artist’ than Yo-Yo Ma...but she crushes him from a sales standpoint.
When the Saints SPANKED the Colts on Monday, you can’t argue “yea but the colts are a better team.” That’s not how it works. You can LIKE or PREFER the colts, but the saints are obviously still better.Sales doesn’t necessarily equate to a better product though. That’s my point.

Case in point, go ahead and like the navigator all you want, but gm is still SPANKING Ford in the full size suv market

This argument was about which company sells more. These companies are out to make money. If these companies can make more money off an inferior product, by golly they must have an outstanding marketing department and sales incentives. They always aspire to improve their products, but bottom line is if it’s outselling the competition, they’re happy. I don’t like F-150s and I don’t like camrys, but I also don’t like the patriots. We all KNOW who the “best” are, but often times we choose to buy and support other things.Agreed. Camry is the best car in the US and ford makes the best truck in the US.
best selling vehicles for 2018
ford 451,000 f-series
chevy 291,000 Silverado
dodge 233,00 Ram
nissan 215,000 Rogue
toyota 198,000 Rav-4
surprising but true
Could be. With almost 1M sold a year you’re bound to see about 3x as many in the yards
Either way. They’re the best. They are what are sold the most.
