is there any way to full screen the car play and get rid of the GMC side-bars and top menu icons while in CarPlay? It would make the CarPlay view bigger and much nicer.

I find right now it’s kinda small and odd-looking.

I have: 2024 Yukon XL SLT.

I don’t believe so, or at least I’ve never figured it out in my 2023 ‘hoe.

Interesting so it just overrides the whole screen and mirrors your phone?

You can stream from your phone to the box via Bluetooth, or you can connect it to WiFi and install apps onto it. I have YouTube tv installed and working.

Interesting, I have a different model Ottocast but it will only display in the standard airplay viewing area. Did you do any additional configuration or hardware to get full screen?
Nope Thats one of the looks I can pick from. I can watch YouTube tv full screen, while moving.

I did not give a review, but I’m happy and it handles my needs. It was the only device I can wirelessly stream from my iPhone to the front screen while in motion, as in YouTube TV.

Its not going to be a super smooth seamless experience but it definitely serves a purpose. I use the android operating system of mine to run Stremio + Debrid. Basically puts an android tablet on your screen.
