fuel gauge purple wire

guys I need to know what pin number the purple wire from my fuel sending unit hooks to on the pcm. all the info I get online is wrong. Its not number 16 or 54.

We'd like to help more but don't know what you're driving. Why not add vehicle info to your signature?

Use the tool that @exp500 linked. And save that link for future issues.

Edit: Haynes manual says pin 14 for GMT800 V8 but YMMV.

I screwed up its green side pin 54, now I need to find the negative.

so gentleman, I have no reading up at the pcm, Pulled the middle seat, already had it cut out, pulled the cover checked it, have reading. So it looks like wire or wires are broken between the output of the pump and the pcm. So I will have to make up two new wires all the way to the pcm. But im not going to run them underneath. Ill run them inside the cab has if they were stereo speaker wires and solder them up and pray. The reading was odd 6.09 ohms. I have another sender I already tested it was within range so ill pop that in. What a pain in my butt. Old lady has to have a fuel gauge. Thank guys.This will really suck if my pcm is bad, after I do all this.

I know, ill look up the test to check the pcm before I go through all this. Yuk.
