Is it worth the trouble to paint the front valance, I mean with all the worrying about it chipping. Every time I have seen it done its always gross and chipped.

If you want a black valance and don't want to worry about the paint, find a 2006 ltz suburban valance, they come black.

if anything i would buy a Z71 valance, but with my body lift i already had to chop up my existing one and don't really feel like dealing with that again.

Bed liner is also a great idea

thanks guys for all the great pics and ideas

Another user on here recommended just clean the area then hit it with some paint for plastic. I did that and it has held up very well for three to four months. Just two or three coats and that's it.
