Thankfully the dealer left the front license plate bracket off at purchase, so we could get PPF put on continuously across the front bumper. As much as I hate installing the bracket, the wife is worried about getting pulled over since its required here in Texas. Is there a better way to install one, short of drilling holes and using the plastic pop rivets the dealer usually uses? I've seen some use 3M double sided tape to mount them over PPF, but worry we'd lose it in the heat. Has anyone found a no drill alternative mount available for the 2025-2026 AT4?

I used suction cups to put behind the windshield after I added a winch bumper to my K2.

I live in Texas, Houston to be specific and I've never been pulled over for no front plate. I could see a potential issue with highway patrol or small town departments but the cost of the ticket is minimal compared to looks IMO. :)

I got stopped for not having a front tag, on Spencer Hwy, right at the SE corner of the loop. I got a warning, but no ticket.

I'll add that it was 1979, because it seems to me that police are hotter on this type of infraction than they used to be. I'm a police supporter, but this stuff enables fishing expeditions.

You're right about that as it does give them a reason. Now it's 2025 and going 90+ mph in a ragged out Nissan Altima with expired paper plates is the new norm. Just don't have a tallboy in the center console if you plan to go this route.

I've received one warning for missing front plate once but that was decades ago in a hot rod. My luck though, the wife would get a ticket the first week of not having one and we all know who would get blamed for it!

Recently most of the stops for missing front plates I've heard about have all been Texas State Troopers. No offense to any that might be here, as I have several I call friends, but a state judge and former LEO once told us that you had to take a 30 hour course in how to be an a**hole to be a trooper. Definitely don't want to give them a reason to put that to the test!
