Front differential crack

Guys, I have a grease pit. I removed my transfer case and dropped it and now the tube has a small crack. Do I have to replace it or can I JB weld the crack? I'm thinking no because the way it's held. I think it may recrack.

Yeah for anyone wondering, do NOT JB weld that shit. I bought a new one for $230. It's cast aluminum. Got it from RockAuto. GM Genuine part number 15270854 for anyone wondering. My Avalanche LOVES money.
