I just recently had my front Monroe Shocks (MRC deleted) pulled off and went with these Fox Coilovers and fox 2.0 in the back and got rid of the auto leveling factory shock.
To my shock, after install my front is lowered 2.5” and my rear dropped 1”. I have the 4” Fabtech kit AND a 1” spacer up front and my fender is measuring 39.5” vs 42” previously. My vehicle front was higher with just a maxtrac 3” leveling kit.
I had the work done in San Antonio and drove right back to Midland and the next day measured my fenders after it DEFINITELY seemed lower all the way around. The guys at Maximum Altitude said the rear dropped prob bc the auto level feature delete. But I’m at a total loss for why my front would’ve dropped 2.5”. They installed the fox coil overs straight out of the box.
Any ideas?
All the different numbers and different setups/spacers/lifts etc and I am kinda lost as to what you have going on.
But, these shocks apparently are adjustable from right around stock height to 2.5-3” over stock. So maybe you need to have them adjusted? Where are the preload nuts set at on the shock right now?
And I am not really sure how you would have lost height in the rear, unless the factory air shocks were not deflating and kept you up a little bit... the ride height when using a normal shock is set solely by the coil springs. Nothing to do with the shock. So if you didnt change the coils, it should be the same height.
And as far as the overall height, I personally think it looks better now than it did before! Nice rig!
I’ll have to grab a pic tomorrow of the preload. Basically all things were kept the same and I changed out to Fox Coilovers up front and fox 2.0 in rear and LOST height. I don’t mind the 40” measurement in the rear now (the 33” tire look better in the fenders) but I want that front to bump up level to the rear. I Actually had the front tires rub yesterday and that has never happened. Not with the maxtrac 3” leveling kit, and certainly not with the 4” Fabtech kit. I’ve got $4500 (4” Fabtech & Coilovers and rear 2.0 & suspension light delete) invested now and my ride height is worse than when I had a $200 leveling kit haha. Surely the fronts can be adjusted up.
Pic of the threads and where it’s at. I wouldn’t think they adjusted it down but does it look like I have plenty of room for adjustment up?!

I want to keep roughly the same height. Maybe a level in the front and 1 inch in the rear.
but I want a much better shock. I’m thinking about a king 3.0 c/o in the front and a 3.0 3 tube bypass out back if it will fit.
these trucks are just so heavy I am not sure a 2.5 will handle it. I know a 2.0 will struggle on anything but smooth pavement...
just the price is so $$$$$. I am trying to sell the wife on it by comparing the price of mrc replacemnts which seem to last about 20k miles only.

Thats what Im wondering. Has anyone found a quality reaer air bag shock? I know king and fox make air bag shocks but I think they are one offs
IM looking for a lift spring, and I will run a bag bladder in the spring and connect the air lines to it. That way I can run a good shock and have the auto level... I hope....

I was thinking of doing that, but with a typical set of bags that go at the bumpstops. Same concept though. Have you seen anybody do this utilizing the factory compressor and plumbing? Seems like it would work just fine, but I do not know anything about the factory compressor/plumbing setup. Never looked under there before.
Tried to tag y’all in previous comment, but, see above.IM looking for a lift spring, and I will run a bag bladder in the spring and connect the air lines to it. That way I can run a good shock and have the auto level... I hope....
