Hey there,

I just ordered these KC Hilites C3 amber LED pods (https://www.kchilites.com/3-c-series-c3-led-black-kc-1315-spot-beam-amber-led.html ) for my front bumper. I’m not very electrically savvy at all, so I just wanted to see if wiring the LEDs into the existing fog lamp wiring is a valid option? I want to utilize the existing fog lamp button on my dash.

Thanks for your help!

The OEM fogs were incandescent bulbs with a pretty decent amp draw. As long as the new lights will bot draw more then the circuit is fused for, you should be good.

You should be good, as @Wylie_Tahoe stated.

LEDs are polarized, meaning that they will light only when hooked up correctly, positive wire to positive wire (versus incandescent lights, where electrical polarity does not matter). So, when you connect them, if they do not light on the first try, reverse the wires, and then they will light.
