Finally notched my frame

It’s been a huge struggle to find someone to notch my frame locally but it finally happened. There was a lot more involved than just cutting for the notch. The brackets on the rear end that hit the factory bump stops had to be cut off the rear end, the frame had to be cut for the panhard bar, frame notched, and the exhaust is not hitting the axle so that’ll have to be addressed

I can’t even begin to explain the ride quality difference now. Huge shoutout to @992dr for sending me some insanely beefy notches

Glad they worked out for yah man and they look great. You need to get it up on a lift and get some shots of everything that had to be adjusted.

Will you be able to keep your exhaust over the axle out the back?

I’ll try to get some better shots tomorrow. As far as the exhaust goes, I’m not sure what to do with it. I really don’t want to cut it because my kid sits on That side of the truck and I don’t need any exhaust blowing into his window or creeping up from underneath

first photo is what actually hits the frame when you get to this point. I believe it’s for the bumpstops. Once those are cut off the axle housing, then you can see where the notch actually needs to go

second picture shows where the panhard bar mount on the rear end hits the frame. The frame needs quite a bit of clearance for this also

last picture is just showing how my exhaust hits and actually rubbed a hole through my brake line

thanks. It’ll actually be lower soon unless I change my mind and get some 26’s. The front can go down another 1/2” and back will be another ~1” lower

Just got under the truck to look at it again and looks like the panhard bar is hitting the frame now so I’ll have to cut that corner off. I haven’t really taken a good look at it since it was notched. Didn’t realize how much of an angle the panhard bar is lol (Yes I know my diff is leaking)

Wow that looks good. I like that stance. If you don't go 26s what is the other wheel size that you are considering? Looks great!

honestly at this height and stock wheel wells, there isn’t any other wheel size worth running because the tires have to be so small
