So I just posted this on another thread then found this one. It appears you've done the exact thing I want to do as well. Here's my post and could you update as to how everything is working for you now that's its been a few months installed?

"I know I'm bringing to life an older thread here, but did you go with the 8500 and 250? How is it working out for you so far? I'm looking to upgrade as well and I'm wanting to retain every factory function I've got (BOSE, 2nd row entertainment, back-up camera and sensors, bluetooth, sirius, onstar, door chimes, etc.). I use an iPhone 5 now as well. Did you go with the Pac-Audio RadioPro 5 (RP5GM31) interface kit or the Axxess (ADGM100) interface or even something different?"

It works great. It's 10x better then the factory nav screen and I use the Bluetooth audio/phone daily in my vehicle. And yes I've retained all the factory features and added a few on top of it bc I didn't have Bluetooth audio/phone or an apple lightning adaptor hooked up via hdmi/usb. Plus I got the avic-z150 which is 7" so it's .5" bigger then the factory screen too.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm going with the 150 as well but is there any reason why you didn't go with the PAC RadioPro5? If I understand correctly it is a single unit that retains all OEM functions so you don't have to piece everything else together? Also how does the Bluetooth mic sound? I currently have a PAC iSimple Bluetooth/iPhone integration since my '08 didn't have bluetooth option. No one can understand a word I say....maybe because I mounted the mic in the factory place next to the Bluetooth mic.

I was thinking of upgrading to a Bluetooth vcim to retain factory bluetooth with the pioneer unit and retain the onstar mic for that.

Sorry for a ton of questions I just want to make sure I'm getting the correct things!

Felix's Black on Black Esky and Black on Tan Avalanche

Avic z150 was the flagship top of the line unit from pioneer when I was ordering one. Plus I had the z110 a few years ago in my 08 Tahoe and loved it. My one gripe about the z110 and the other 5 screens I've owned in my lifetime is that Bluetooth phone calls have sucked... bad. I don't know what they did in the z150 but they fixed it. The audio both for the person you're talking to and for yourself is super clear. Most people don't even realize I'm not on my phone talking to them. Also, you can't use the factory vcim Bluetooth phone call with an aftermarket unit. And that's only for phone calls no Bluetooth audio unfortunately.

I may not have been completely clear here. I noticed you used separate harness for steering/Sirius/ect. I think if you go with the all-in-one Pac-Audio RadioPro 5 (RP5GM31) interface kit or the Axxess (ADGM100) interface kit is allows your factory bluetooth to be used with the aftermarket bluetooth unit, same with the Sirius and so on. I noticed you bought a few different harness/modules to retain all your functions and I was just wondering why you didn't go with one of the all-in-one units instead. Maybe they just weren't out when you did this or something but i wanted to see if there was a particular reason you went the route you did.

Ah I see what you're saying. Yes that wasn't out when I purchased my system. Had that been out I would've definitely went that route!

Where did you install your bluetooth mic? I installed mine right next to the onstar mic through the small vent by the headliner and homelink buttons. I think I need to move it

Next mod will be retrofit projectors for the Avy but it won't be for a while. I was close to getting em but two eggs formed on the esky's NT420's sidewall so I had to get two new tires ASAP and boom there went my mod money.

Just got a call from the body shop saying the driver side fog light is out on the avalanche. So I ordered these new ones called "CREE KIT 5202/PS24W FF/PG20-3/12086 Pack of 1 LED BULB 25W QUALITY FOG LIGHT 5 K". A little different as each light has it's own power source like HID's do. Anyone have these?
