Factory USB with Ipod not staying on the playlist I want after I turn off the Truck.

I have a 2011 Yukon Denali with factory GPS and USB.
I hate the radio stations so I always want to use my IPod. I have my playlist that I like to hear in the truck every day and on random playing. Every time I turn off and on the truck it goes back to the main and then I have to pick my playlist again and turn on the random. Has anyone had this problem if so did you find a fix or you just have to live with it? Thanks.

I kind of have the opposite problem. Mine ALWAYS goes back to the playlist I use. I want the local radio station to be the default when I start the truck, but no matter what I do (short of disconnecting it every time) the ipod takes over. Maybe it has to do with the Ipods we are using? Mine is an old ipod video.
