Factory sub-woofer useless?

Does everyone find the factory sub-woofer useless? I do hear output from it, but my 99' Lesabre with no subwoofer sounded better.

Now that I think of it, maybe I should just remove it and see if I can get more stowage space.

Personally, I have not found factory sub-woofers to be all that good. That said, it all depends upon your own individual listening preferences.

I ripped out the entire Bose system on my 07 Yukon XL Denali truck and installed aftermarket equipment, including an Audiomobile 10" sub in a custom sealed and downward firing enclosure, located between the 2nd row captain's seats.
