the taillights came out darker than i was hoping for and they seem to hold fingerprints easy even with the clearcoat on .
i forgot to connect the resistors in the package so immediately there was a blinker error on the gauge cluster so i put everything back in original.
will connect everything back in tomorrow.
1 thing though this set comes with red blinkers not yellow . not sure why.doesnt bother me but still kinda interesting.

Has anyone who has these realized that during the day when it's sunny you can not see the brake lights when applied you can only see the third brake light I think it is the quality of the tail lights they eBay seller is issuing me a refund but I really like the escalade tail lights but I don't want to get hit in the rear because someone can't see my brakes and if you compare them to the actual escalade tail lights it's a big noticeable difference
I'm just going to disagree and leave it at that.

I noticed that on mine since day one but didn't think nothing of it. I wonder if there is anyway of making that light brighter? I've had mine for about 5 months now and haven't had no problem with them all I get is compliments lol.

I love them but I wonder if you can or are they using cheap LEDs in them but if you have a small car behind you and there not looking at the third brake light you may get hit

I agree, the brake lights are not to bright. They are not nearly as bright as the caddy. It does help with the Tahoe using the blinker as a brake light also. I have a contact at VLED I was emailing when I had problems with the lights not working. I can ask him this question.

If the brake lights arent as bright it is a problem, blinkers coming on do help but it is still not a complete product in my opinion.

By the way
I didnt know i had to wait over night or a couple days for the clear coat to cure and now i have to sand it down and redo the clear coat again. What a pain :(

i am bummed out about the light output of these taillights .

Main reason i was getting them was visibility. plus i smoked them a little and because i smoked them to match original color i simply can not return them claiming low visibility to the seller, it just would not be fair i think.

I am going to perfect the smoking process which i messed up by handling lights before the clear coat cured and try them on to see if i like them.if not i 'll just get the original lights and add resistors .

So my final advice to ppl wanting to get these aftermarket lights would be to wait maybe next design version which hopefully will be proper or to get the original tail lights.

edit : my only hope is that the chevy version has the blinkers light up with brake lights, maybe that could make up for low light output from brake lights.time will tell
