Which system are you going to go with? Intellihaul, MVI or a different one?

Interesting that MVI looks pretty interesting. It even says you can use your own cameras. Would 100% try it if the esky mirror and front cameras would work with it.

I have the MVI kit ordered. Front and side cameras, but the intent of using the oem Escalade side camera

Sweet! This is exactly what I want to do too plus the front camera (aftermarket). I’m curious about the wiring from the cameras to the mvi unit.

Mvi
Escalade mirrors
Front camera

When do you think you’ll attempt the install?

+1. I've added the door harness but without the illuminated handle so was able to get around that. However ran into the same issue of the body side wires not being present. I guess it was too much to hope for them to use one pn for the behind the dash harness. Same with the grille camera. I have the esky grille harness and stripped the wires out to run independently to my grille plug (there was a lot more different about the esky front end than the tahoe plug wise to simply use the esky harness) however there are no body side connections. So i'm stalled trying to figure out how to get all that setup. I managed to find a used video processing module on eBay but my cadillac guy is unsure if it would require any additional programming or not. The mirrors are still a success from a look and function perspective but the 360 is starting to look like more trouble than it's worth.

I wonder if you would be able to wire the Cadillac mirror cameras to an aftermarket unit, like the Rostra 250-8450:

You would still need the body wiring, but this would only entail one or two wires per side? I would think it would make life much easier than trying to mate Cadillac with Chevrolet stuff. I would try that route (if I had the money and parts!).

There also appears to be a kit from ADC Mobile which looks exactly like the kit from MVI. However, this kit is cheaper and looks legitimate and reputable. It may even work better due its cameras and that is $499.00. Each kits were on sale around the holidays. I wonder if you could hollow out the esky mirrors and run the ADC or MVI cameras through the housing? Each one has the phone mirroring as well... I think it is not additional cost at ADC.

It is. Almost too “cute”.

However, I found a few distributors (adcelectric?) that sell for about $500? There were a few others as well for about $600.

Here is the install manual:
http://www.rostra.com/manuals/Rostra-250-8450-8451-Installation-Manaul-8302016.pdf

It looks like it uses RCA for camera inputs. Not sure how the Cadillac are wired?
Whoops hadnt seen your post yet. Great minds think alike!

I'm curious about this statement: "NOTE: Requires vehicle be equipped with 8″ display radio Radio / HMI module combination (RPO Code IO5 & IO6). 2017 vehicles with rear-seat entertainment system and/or one-piece radio systems (4.2″ or 7″) are not applicable."

I have a 2016 with the RSE...I wonder if this would work for that setup or not?

IO5 is the 8 inch display without navigation. IO6 is with navigation.

Here’s a pic of the harness from the Esky mirrors to the Esky door harness.

Here’s a pin-out of the camera jumper harness.

Those circuits land in the door to body harness connector at positions 4, 11, 12, 13 & 26.

Following....Just picked up the wife's Tahoe last night and as soon as we got home she complained about how small the mirrors were compared to her old one lol. I can't believe how cheap the Esky mirrors are compared to the trucks when I did the DL3 upgrade on my '16 Rado I hunted for months and finally found a guy dumping a set for $35!!! compared to the $500-$600 I was seeing so I lucked out! But the size would be the biggest benefit but if we can find a way to make the 360 work it would be awesome. If I can find the time I'm gonna look through the upfitter manual and see if I make any headway if someone hasn't already found the answer.
