Hi all I have an 07 Yukon with about 85k on it. Bought it in December and in February noticed this message in the dash. Checked the oil through dip stick and sure enough was very low.

It was down at like 20% engine oil life so did an oil change and only got about 4qts of old oil out. Now it's 2000 miles later and got the same message. Checked the dip stick and sure enough the level was low. A little Google search shows that these engines use oil but is it really that much? I mean the oil is still very clean. Just wondering if there is a fix or if really need to carry oil in the trunk all the time. Thanks.

That's a lot of oil to consume.

I have a 07 Yukon Denali. I get a oil change every 5k miles and it is low by only 1/3 quart. I would take it to a shop to diagnose. And also invest in a catch can.

Will do but car is DD for wife and leaves no oil spots at work or home. Always use same spots.

How much does yours leak?

I had an 05 Yukon and never had this issue on that one. Didn't use oil at all.
