Drivers Mirror Memory

My drivers mirror on my ‘23 Tahoe occasionally will adjust to the wrong position. I can then adjust it back, but if I hold my memory button it will return to the WRONG position. It seems if I save it again it won’t do it for a bit, then after a few days, it does it again. Any ideas or others have this issue that could help me get the dealer to fix it? They just say they can’t duplicate the issue.

I just picked up my 2023 Tahoe last week from the dealer. It was in for the loss of power recall and a software update. When I picked it up, the driver side mirror was adjusted as far out as possible. I readjusted it and went home. Next time it was started the mirror returned to the full outboard. I readjusted again and stored it into memory #1. After starting it a few more times, the mirror moved fully in. I readjusted again and stored the setting. Now it randomly moves to fully outboard. This never happened before this latest software upgrade! Additionally, after the engine shutdown during the auto stop start, now the starter continues to run when the engine is running. I think the engine is running very low rpms and the ecm doesn’t know the engine is running. Again, I didn’t have this problem before the software update!

I am having the same issue as expressed here with my 22 Yukon XL. Both myself and the dealer have attempted everything that has been suggested in this forum and we cannot get it to stop happening. It nearly caused an accident today as I was entering an Interstate Highway, and when I looked in the mirror to see if the lane was clear to enter, all I saw was the sky. It was a short ramp and even though I've been dealing with this for almost two years, it still took me by surprise. The dealer is going to replace the mirror just to see if that is indeed the issue, but reviewing the notes on this forum I am doubtful this will resolve anything. I did call GM to express my concern. I have no idea if it will do any good (most likely not), but if enough of us would call, perhaps they could come up with a resolution and post a service bulletin on it.

Our dealer did some tests with a multimeter on various circuits and found a bad switch. I’m not sure what switch but they replaced it last time and so far so good. This is the 2nd thing they tried after replacing the mirror assembly. If it holds I’ll update here with more specifics.

2023 Tahoe here! We’ve been having the same problem for six months or so. Driver side mirror and housing has been replaced once. We’ve been accused of messing with the setting and causing the issue once as well. Just picked it up from the dealership’s third attempt to fix it and it’s back to being wonky. It is a dangerous problem. It’s not always immediately obvious that the mirror is in the wrong position. Both my husband and I have almost been in accidents because of it (once each). Obviously there’s no real solution at the moment, but hopefully Chevy finds a fix soon. It should be recalled by now.
