I took out the solenoid on the intake it was clean and works fine. I tested it using a couple wires off the battery and had my son blow through it and it seems to be working fine. Both solenoids are working so does that mean the charcoal box is bad?
actually it can be the same or less cost to just replace the solenoids and canister -vs- leaving at a shop and being without a car paying for a cab or uber and waiting for them to get to it and then ream you for the diagnostic and overpriced part & labor just to have the other part fail shortly after the first one was replaced, you can get all the new oem parts for just under $200 and do it yourself in about 30-45 minutes and be done with it for another 10 years..dont just replace parts fo the hell of it.. take it to a shop and have them tell you the exact problem. I replaced both solenoids and the charcoal canister. i still get the code
