The 22s on my Denali are really pissing me off. They look great, but with michigan winters, I have to have some proper tires, not the Bridgestones that come standard. I had Michelin LTxs on my previous Denali XL with the 20s and it handled like a dream in 1 foot snow, but the Bridgestones make snow driving dangerous IMO. Also, I have to take it to an automatic car wash in the winter to wash off the salt, and the tires on the 22s are so thin that the tire shine got on the edges of the wheels and caused chemical staining (got them replaced under warranty). Is there any way that I could get the wheels downsized to the stock 20s or even dare I say 18s?

I will trade you 17's :secret:

You can downsize. The only issue I could see is the speedo would be off.

Not if he kept the same overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo

I'm considering .2 inches differences to be the same and definitely not enough to throw off a speedometer by any noticeable difference :slap:

If your speedometer reads 65 on 285/45/22 you're approximately going 64.62 on 275/55/20.

.58% variation.

To be fair, anything less than 1% is negligible ... you can get more than that via slight over/under inflation.

I know that I just honestly thought they were farther off but I have ran so many different sizes that I can't remember the differences anymore.
