I had 17" snow tires from a different vehicle and I wondered if I could run them on my 2020 Yukon Denali, it has 22" wheels stock, a 17" steel wheel for a spare, i have seen as small as a 18" wheel on this vehicle from the factory, but never a 17" aluminum wheel. I know the steel spare will fit but steel wheels are thinner and therefore have more clearance than a aluminum wheel. I tried a 17" stock wheel from my brother's half ton chevy and it seemed fine on the front. So i found a set of aluminum wheels on facebook and they were apparently stolen shortly before i got to the persons house, which made him think I stole them, (i dont blame him, the optics were not good, so I showed him the inside of my Denali for proof) then looked at a aftermarket set of Enkei's and dimensionally they looked like they would fit, and they did. Im running them with no problems, they appear to mimic stock 17's as far as backspacing and inside diameter, interestingly the rear wheels were the biggest concern as the rear brake calipers are very close to the wheel (see #5947), but they work with no problems. The 17's are quite a bit lighter than the 22's but gas mileage doesn't seem any different, probably because the snow tires likely have more rolling resistance.

Thank you for sharing your results with us. Yes, the brakes do look close, but close is good.
