Does your 2008 Tahoes autoride compressor turn on every ignition cycle?

I have a 2008 Tahoe LTZ. Struts, air compressor and air lines were all just replaced but the compressor still turns on for a couple seconds every time I start the car even when there is no weight in the back. Some people told me this is normal, some say its not. I know the later year ones don't do this so I'm wondering if this is in fact normal for 2008's or not and if there is anyway to stop this because it just seems like useless wear on the compressor.

Appreciate any feedback.

The compressor in my 07 does this on pretty much every startup too. Mine is still all original components though. I probably need to take some measurements and see if I am losing air while its sitting.

My 07 used to do this every time. Then the air bladders went bad, then it stopped, since the air was escaping, but the compressor would kick in every few days. I then replaced the shocks and compressor and it only turns on sometimes at startup.

Every single autoride I've owned has run through an on sequence at key on every time. New and used vehicles in my pool as references.

Recently replaced my compressor on the esky, it too engages at key on for about 5-10 seconds every single time.
