Demolding

I've see that a lot of you guys have removed all emblems and side moldings, I was just wondering how you guys have done it? And how the paint looks underneath.

Don't want to rip my moldings off just to find out I need to repaint all doors

I got some tips about using a hot air gun, and label off - anyone got a better method?

I use a plastic spackling tool. Make sure it's new or in very good shape as not to scratch the paint. Then a 3M adhesive eraser wheel will take the adhesive off effortlessly. After that just a good polish of the area and you're good.

This ^ the 3M wheel takes 5-10 mins, so much faster and easier than other methods.

when i pulled my rear molding n emblems i used fising line, plastic sraper, goo gone, and wd40... it was a pain. when i pulled off the roof mouldings. i used the 3m wheel and my cordless drill. works awesome. and no sore fingers.

I'm going to have to use the 3M adhesion remover wheel for the last bit of adhesive where my decals were. My index fingers were rubbed raw after doing it manually.

And this is why you ALWAYS just use the wheel from the beginning

I highly recommend the 3M wheel, I spent about 15 minutes pr side doing it, once you get the feel for how much pressure to put on the wheel you'll be surprised how effective it is.

Is the 3M wheel used dry...or with some type of compound?
