Truck sat 5 days. My newish battery stone dead. Got a jump, & now air bag light on. What gives ?
88,000 miles.

Here's the part that got me thinking. Last week truck was in the body stop for a minor fender repair, but they did use a welder to close a rip on the fender. Maybe the welder did something ??

What to do with an airbag light? Dealer only repair ??

The airbag light is usually caused by one of the front impact sensors, the connector gets corroded. Might have been disconnected?

A poorly charged battery, a battery with a bad cell in it, can create all kinds of havoc and false positives with the electrical system. Get it back up to a full charge before taking any error codes seriously.

@swathdiver is on the right track with all the info he gave you. Check those sensors and connections. I would be a bit more concerned about a rig that sat for 5 days with a newish battery and had to be jumped. How are the connections, dirty/loose? Quality of battery? Is charging system working optimally?
