For the last few months I've had to add a very tiny bit of coolant every couple of weeks so I knew I had something going on but I have not seen any drips. My wife had the big beast this week and parked in the garage and I saw some spots on the floor so I decided to dig into it. I found some wet spots in the picture on the passenger side. It is above the water pump so I'm a little concerned. Is this area if coolant likely a head gasket?

I've had this truck for about three years and the coolant system is the last major refresh I need to do. The water pump is about 4 years old from the Carfax records. All the hoses look and feel good but it might be time to go ahead and tackle this now.
Yes, that's the pipe. Since the water pump has already been replaced, it may be worth a quick check of the mounting bolt torque. You may have the cheapest coolant leak fix on record. LOL
the crossover pipe 0-ring seal is leaking, not the water pump. I know you can order some o-rings (somewhere) or just buy a new crossover pipe it will come with new o-rings dorman has them.

Yes, that's the correct part. Most of of these engines will have the front crossover part (1 gasket each end = 2 gaskets) and little block off plates at the rear of the engine, on each head. That's why there's 4 gaskets in that kit.
Look up the torque specs, IIRC it's pretty low and in the "inch-pounds" range. Should use a 1/4" torque wrench. Don't confuse it with "foot-pounds" which is much higher. Otherwise just snug them up.

that's approx 8.8 ft lbs, so it's basically just hand tight with a small ratchet, it's not critical enough to have to buy a $200 tool, most torque wrench start out at around 15-20ft lbs
The Harbor Freight 1/4" drive click torque wrench specs at 20-200 INCH-LBS. Handy for all sorts of low-torque requirements.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I have one that starts at 5ft lbs from some random project but can't remember what it was.
If the 5 ft-lbs is at the bottom of the torque wrench's range, I'd just as well tighten it by hand, since you're shooting for around only 8 ft-lbs. Click torque wrenches are most accurate at the HIGHER end of their range.
Fair enough. 5 is the first setting. I think it's a 5-80 but haven't had to use it in a while. Appreciate the feedback. The coolant is the last fluid change I have to do since I bought it so I'm actually looking forward to get in there and get this and new coolant done.
