Sounds like the charcoal canister could possibly have gas in it.

Okay would that give the coad p0443? I’ll change that next
The parts all work together to form the evap system. So if one part is malfunctioning the others parts can’t function as intended. Last time I was in your shoes with my 02 burb I replaced all the main components, including the vapor canister that was twenty years old. I wanted to start fresh and that has fixed my issue ever since. Some would say I wasted my money parts swapping since my vapor canister was dry when ai pulled it but I had already replaced the purge and vent solenoids so In MY case it was the canister. Hope this helps. Sometimes evap systems can be tricky especially if your problem is in the gas tank. You should let others chime in and get more advice as well.

If you have trouble filling the tank, it is most likely related to the vent path being blocked. Since the canister is designed to collect the vapors when venting, it is a mandatory pass through. Since the filtering media inside the canister often fails, meaning it doesn't work well for venting out or purging in, that is the mostly likely issue if the valves are working (new or known good).

I think the gas cap not sealing may also set 443, but it wouldn't cause problems during fillup.

Okay so I have changed that Evap canister as well and fills up just fine now. The check engine light 0443 has came back tho. I don’t have and systems of there being anything wrong anymore just the code. New canister purge valve and fl vent solenoid. What now ?

The purge solenoid is on the engine (not to be confused with the canister vent valve/solenoid in the rear of the truck).

Yes I know that is the first thing that was changed. Still have 443 code

You'll likely need to do some further testing with a bi-directional scanner that can look deep at some live data and run some tests. The purge solenoid circuit might have an issue.

Any idea if there’s a fuse for the Evap purge solenoid?

No, the PCM controls it.
Okay when I changed the canister it was clearly bad charcoal beads fell out. I attempted to blow the lines out best I could I only seen beads in the line going to the gas tank nothing came out the line going to the purge valve.

Check the wiring to the evaporator purge solenoid in the engine compartment for any damage and that the connector is tight.

Are you clearing the code with a scanner and it's coming back?

Or it doesn't go away on its own? If this, it can take several drive cycles to clear.
