Been gone a little while, but over the summer I decided to put some chassis saver on my frame. I looked around for a while to see what was the best product for my application, and after talking to several people I found out that chassis saver is the best.

The nice thing about it is that you can apply it over surface rust. It is made up of a compound that covers, and stops rust. However, it's some pricey stuff. It cost me $100 for a gallon, and naturally I did my whole under carriage using only two quarts :( lol.

This stuff is very potent. If you get some on you during application it takes about a week to get off. I view this as a good sign. I live in PA and we get tons of snow + salt so my frame had a lot of surface rust. I just took a wire brush and cleaned it all up, and then painted on the chassis saver. My frame looks beautiful!! :) and now I believe it will last much longer! I would suggest this to everyone who lives in a cold weather area where the roads get salted, and anyone who does any offroading!

Will post some pics at some point, but the weather is going to be miserable for a couple more days, and I will probably not have the chance to take any and post them!

I got it at NAPA. Didn't search around online for prices too much, but it looks to be about the same price everywhere.
