1992 Silverado K1500 Same as Tahoe or yukon I removed the center link to replace with new.
My problem is that I forgot wich way it goes in.
So there is 3 1/2 " between the ball joint hole on one end and 5 1/2" between ball joint holes on the other end.
So what end goes on the pitman arm and the left hub? Thanks Jerry

It’ll be tapered for the inner tie rods, so if it’s backwards (driver vs passenger) then the tapers will be backward and the tie rod nuts would face in (toward the rear of the truck).

The tie rod nuts face out toward the front. Pitman and idler arms will also be taper starting on the top (to make sure it isn’t upside down).

Here’s a picture grabbed from online. Hope that makes sense. I’ve asked that myself before when I forgot which was which.

east302 Thanks for that information. Helped out. Also seen were the pitman taper is about 1/16 larger than the idler taper. Thanks again Jerry
