Cassette Player Question

I had my aftermarket stereo stolen, but still want to play music. Would one of those Aux Cord Cassette Tapes work for a temporary fix or do i need a stereo for it to work?


I have a 2001 Yukon SLT

I have a cassette player separate from the actual stereo. There's a cassette tape attached to an aux cord that you put into the cassette player. They're called cassette adapters

I’m guessing you still have the original head unit with a cassette deck that you can out back in.

Another option is a Bluetooth FM converter like this.

Yeah, I forgot about the split cassette deck configuration.

Yes i still have the cassette deck. Im just asking if i put in the aux cord adapter, will it work without the head unit

I dont think so, the head unit powers on the bottom cassette deck.

Real easy to do. Probably take you 20 mins tops if no wires were cut.
