Looks good so far. And it's real!My steering wheel looks like crap so I'm attempting to do a real carbon fiber overlay with resin to make it look nice. If it turns out good I might do the rest of the pieces.View attachment 215544

Damn.
How'd you prep and apply it?
I sanded it and used 3m spray glue to apply the cloth. Then coated out in resin. Turns out the resin makes the spray glue not hold.
Second attempt I put a coating of resin on the parts and after a few hours when it's tacky I'll apply the cloth. Then vacuum the pieces and see if it holds
How big of a station is that vacuum set up?
Did the weave move from the vacuum process?
How did you remove it?
Where do you get it from?
Love the look of carbon.
It's not really a station, just a car window.
the weave has to move to wrap around contours.
It peels off easy. It's designed to not stick
I get it from various places online. Whoever is cheapest
Hahaha, gotcha.
I figured it would move but, didn't think it would move that much. Maybe the radius was too much.
Really, huh. That's actually kinda cool. If you don't like it, easy removal.
Cool, Thanks. Didn't know if you got it anywhere in particular.
I'm trying to remember the place I used to get my materials from but, its been so long haha, cant remember.
